Lilit Balagyozyan
UX/UI Designer

Lilit is a UI / UX Designer that began working for CISL as an undergraduate research student in her freshman year in 2016. She was closly involved on the Mandarin Project at its infancy, and has worked on several other projects at her time in CISL, including the Scientific, Exploration, & Discovery Project and the Cognitive-Enabled Intelligence Analysis project. The CISL team brought Lilit on for her graphic design skills and her training in design thinking and user-experience design. Her job entails working closely with cognitive computing researchers and software engineers to develop a vision for new applications CISL’s technology. As a designer at CISL, she has had the interesting challenge of anticipating user scenarios and designing user-interfaces for a screen commanded using primarily voice and gesture command. User-interface storyboarding, user-interaction illustrated storyboarding, user-flowcharts, conceptual mockups, and animated graphics are some examples of the work produced by Lilit.

Her interests for the future are in designing creative applications for futuristic systems, by pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the field of UX. She anticipates the day when UX designers are challenged to create interfaces for augmented reality and virtual reality systems, as opposed to traditional 2D interfaces.
